FitPlay Games adds a gaming layer to your Fitbit tracking data.
Replace repetitive "who walked the most" challenges with exciting social games like Hot Potato and Capture the Crown.
These games are designed to motivate you to exercise more using principles from game design and behavior change research.
This early release of FitPlay Games was designed by researchers at Brigham Young University and is being used as part of a Master's Thesis examining motivational exercise games.
Those who download the app will be asked to sync it with their Fitbit account and also provide consent to participate in the research study via email.
Future versions will be open to a wider audience and include additional mini-games.
